Aeolian Gaea Hotel onderscheidt zich als het enige 4-sterren kleinere luxe hotel van Kalloni en van het eiland Lesbos.

Aeolian Gaea Hotel is gelegen in Skala Kallonis, slechts 400 m van het strand. Het biedt een 250 m2 zwembad met kinder bad, kinderspeelplaats, fitness zaal, sauna, massage ruimte en een tennisbaan. Bistrot Aeolis en de bar bij het zwembad, beide grenzend aan het zwembad bieden verse, biologische groenten en fruit. Bereid volgens de plaatselijke keuken van Lesbos, met een internationale knipoog.
Onze Kamers (Deluxe Tweepersoonskamers, Familie Suites, Grande Suites)
De appartementen van Aeolian Gaea Hotel zijn verdeeld in 4 aparte gebouwen, elk met een verschillende architectuur en decoratie.
Aeolian Gaea Hotel heeft twaalf 32 m2 deluxe tweepersoonskamers, zeven 45 m2 familie suites en vier grande suites van 60 m2. Alle kamers en suites zijn voorzien van airconditioning, hebben een aparte slaap kamer, een eet kamer met een volledig-functionele keuken, badkamer met bubbelbad en een veranda. De familie suites kunnen gemakkelijk een hele familie herbergen daar deze kamers kunnen worden omgezet in suites met twee slaapkamers. Sommige grande suites bieden ook een open haard.

De exclusieve en ruime Grande Suites van Aeolian Gaea Hotel zijn ingericht met twee aparte gebieden: een woonkamer en een slaap kamer, van elkaar gescheiden met een verbindings deur. Elke suite is uniek in decoratie, met schilderijen, bas-reliëfs, beeltenissen van locale thema's van Lesbos. De Grande Suites zijn 60 m2 en gemakkelijk geschikt voor 4 personen.

Aeolian Gaea Hotel is gelegen in Skala Kalloni, 400 m van het strand en slechts 2 km van de stad van Kalloni. Het hotel is gelegen in het midden van het eiland van Lesbos. Het biedt gasten het ideale uitgangspunt voor excursies naar elke zijde van het eiland binnen een uur. Skala Kalloni, die de natuurlijke uitbreiding van de stad bij de pittoreske Golf van Kalloni is, beschikt over een gezellig strand, ideaal voor gezinnen met kinderen. Traditionele taverna's met lokale delicatessen, sardines, vis en ouzo. Er zijn ook trendy bars die voldoen aan de behoefte van uitstekend Grieks eten en bruisend nachtleven.
De Golf van Kalloni, beschermd door de UNESCO, biedt onderdak aan honderden vogels, vanaf begin april tot oktober. Lesbos beschikt ook over een aantal zeldzame en unieke soorten flora en fauna, zoals orchideeën, libellen en hagedissen. Skala Kalloni is daarom elke zomer de ontmoetings plek voor vogelaars en andere soorten van natuuronderzoekers. Afgezien van vogels spotten zijn de kloosters van Leimonos en Panagias Myrsiniotissas zeer populaire bestemmingen in de buurt. De kloosters zijn zowel van religieus als historische belang.

Mytilene – Kalloni – Aeolian Gaea Hotel
Vanaf de Mytilene luchthaven: richting Mytilene (hoofdstad). Volg de weg die naar het stadhuis van Mytilene leidt, genaamd "Nomarchia". Na dit gebouw ga de Vournazon straat in, die leidt u uit de stad van Mytilene. Deze weg gaat richting Kallonis-Petra-Molyvos. Draai rechtsaf naar Theokritou street, en daarna onmiddellijk links de Zoodochou Pigis straat in. Deze straat zal u leiden uit de stad van Mytilene, naar het gebied van Pagani.Blijf ongeveer 15-20 minuten rechtdoor rijden. U passeert dan het dorp van Lampou Myli en na 15-20 minuten voordat u Kallonis nadert, ziet u aan uw linker hand het moeras van de Golf van Kallonis. Ga rechtdoor en u komt door Arisvi, een klein dorp dat grenst aan de stad van Kallonis. Na ongveer 300 m komt u in de stad Kallonis.
U komt vervolgens een kruispunt tegen,voor u ziet u twee elektronica winkels (een aan uw linkerzijde, en een aan uw rechterzijde. Draai links en rij 150 meter. Ga licht rechtsaf (een bakker ligt aan uw rechterkant). Sla linksaf op de weg die tot Skala Kalloniss leidt. U rijdt door het dorp van Ariana. Rij nog 200 meter rechtdoor en sla vervolgens linksaf op het volgende kruis punt (er is een kleine boom recht in het midden van het kruis punt). Iets rechts blijven en na ongeveer 200 m. komt u in Aeolian Gaea Hotel. Dit is het eerste hotel en bevind zich aan de linkerkant van de weg.
Natuur en Bezienswaardigheden
Lesvos
The island of Lesvos is the third biggest island of Greece and the seventh biggest in the Mediterranean. Lesvos is the ideal place to be, if you love nature, history and culture. Skala Kallonis and generally the island Lesvos has not yet been spoiled and preserves a unique natural and cultural environment.
Bird watching
A total of 500 bird species live on the island of Lesvos. Particularly, Skala Kallonis, where Aeolian Gaea Hotel lies, boasts the famous wetlands of the gulf of Kalloni (protected by UNESCO), which shelters more than 130 birds, some rare and unique to this ecosystem. Birdwatchers from all over Europe flock in the area, particularly in April and May, when birds stop in Lesvos, during their long journeys north.
Fauna and flora
The island of Lesvos, boasts a very diverse population of both plants (over 750 species) and animals. Over 120 different species of orchids, some very rare types grow on the island, such as the Himantoglossum comperianum (comperia comperiana) and the Platanthera holmboei. Many scientists and naturalists also visit the island of Lesvos for lizards, snakes, dragonflies and tortoises.Walking Trails
The picturesque forest and mountain paths of Lesvos also offer 18 unique walking trails on the island. All walking trails are sufficiently marked for a pleasant and safe walk. The walking trails present different views, such as Mount Olympus (starting from Agiasos), the Metochi monastery and the Tsiknias river (starting from Agia Paraskevi), watermills, monasteries and stone bridges (starting from Skala Kallonis).
Petrified Forest
The Lesvos Petrified Forest is a member of the European and Global Geoparks Network of UNESCO. It has been voted in the top 10 touristic destinations in Europe in 2009, and offers a picture of the nature in Lesvos 20 million years ago.Festivals
The history and tradition of Lesvos is very rich and the local people love to celebrate and participate in festivals and events, some of which originate in antiquity. The most famous festival, which takes usually place in July, is the one dedicated to Saint Charalampos, commonly called the “Festival of the Bull”. It takes place in the adjacent villages of Agia Paraskevi and Napi and originates in the ancient sacrifices of animals for divine protection and favour. A visitor is certain to enjoy the festival, since it involves music and dancing for 3 full days, many groups of horse riders, and the adorned bull.

In Aeolian Gaea Hotel, bieden wij onze eigen marmelades, taarten, ijs en sorbets, en de meeste van onze groenten komen uit onze eigen boerderijen en tuinen.
Sinds 2012 bieden wij onze eigen handgemaakte, romige zepen van biologische olijfolie, evenals premium biologische en conventionele extra vierge olijfolie, olijven pate, kruiden en thee mixen. Deze producten worden aangeboden onder de merknaam FAENA, om hun duidelijkheid, helderheid en zuiverheid, zoals gesymboliseerd door de oude godin Faena betekenen.Groen
Aeolian Gaea is een milieubewust Hotel, wij zetten ons in voor vermindering van het energieverbruik door gebruik te maken van milieuvriendelijke technologieën. Wij zijn van mening dat dit niet een huidige trend is, maar dat dit voorkomt uit de noodzaak voor het behoud van de ongerepte natuur van het uitzonderlijk eiland Lesbos.
Biologisch
We gebruiken de familie boerderij en de Aeolian Gaea Hotel tuinen om biologische groenten te laten groeien. Ook komen de eieren voor onze gerechten van de boerderij. De extra vergine olijfolie wordt geproduceerd uit de olijven die wij in onze eigen olijfbomen gaard elk jaar verzamelen. Voor vlees en andere biologische ingrediënten ondersteunen wij vele lokale boeren en voedsel producenten op het eiland Lesbos.

Het Aeolian Gaea Hotel is een familie hotel. Alle ingrediënten van levensmiddelen en onze gerechten zijn vers en bereid in de Aeolian Gaea keuken. Afgezien van onze gerechten bereiden wij onze eigen marmelade, cookies en brood. Wij zijn van mening dat de voeding, de smaak en kleur met verse ingrediënten ongeëvenaard zijn.

We came here for relaxation and we found plenty. The accommodation, food, hospitality was exceptional. Never have we experienced being made to feel as if this is our home.
